"Nana, Sing!"

A Sign of Spring
Before the official start of spring, daffodils begin dotting the landscape with bright green and yellow amidst a dreary winter backdrop – a symbol of hope for what’s to come. I have always loved daffodils. My mom made sure of that. It’s my birth month flower, so every year my mom has pointed out when the flowers are making their debut – a symbol of my spring birthday – something to celebrate. In Missouri, it’s not uncommon to have daffodils popping up while snow is falling.
